In the heart of Turin, a group of designers and artisans founded Plastiz with a clear mission: to address the environmental challenge posed by plastic waste. Established in 2021, Plastiz is dedicated to converting discarded plastics into high-quality materials for architecture and interior design, promoting a circular economy and sustainable practices.
Innovative Process for Sustainable Materials
Plastiz employs a thermoforming process to transform large quantities of plastic waste into compact, durable panels. Each square meter of these panels incorporates approximately 15 kg of recycled plastic, equivalent to the waste produced by an individual over two and a half months. This innovative approach not only reduces the volume of plastic waste but also contributes to lowering carbon emissions by about 50% compared to the use of virgin polymers.
Design Versatility with Sustainability
The panels produced by Plastiz are available in over 30 textures and finishes, including options like Marble, Pixel, and Glass. These materials are suitable for various applications, from interior and exterior furniture to countertops and decorative elements. The unique characteristics of each panel reflect the origins of the recycled materials, adding a distinctive touch to any design project.

Commitment to Circular Economy and Social Responsibility
Beyond environmental sustainability, Plastiz is committed to social responsibility. The company collaborates with Izamade, a social enterprise that integrates design and architecture with social inclusion. This partnership exemplifies how sustainable practices can also foster community development and social impact.
Looking Ahead
As Plastiz continues to grow, it plans to expand its production capacity and strengthen partnerships with other organizations. The company aims to further its mission of transforming plastic waste into valuable resources, contributing to a more sustainable future in design and architecture.
